ADVANTICA unveils SynerGee Water 4.1
Advantica proudly announces the release of SynerGEE ֲ®Water 4.1, featuring a significant set of enhancements and additions for water distribution network simulation:
SynerGEE 4.1 offers practical base map advancements that allow users to import external geospatial information system (GIS )source data into the SynerGEE modeling environment. Building up on the basemapping feature and polyline con version functionality introduced in SynerGEE 4.0,the basemap conversion tool lets users not only view the basemap behind the model, but also convert multiple pipe and facility layers into a model simultaneously, integrate external source data into SynerGEE and save basemap attributes using existing names and settings.
The new version also features a reverse facility orientation tool that enables users to switch the direction of model facilities that have been placed in to a model from an external source incorrectly .The tool ג€flipsג€unidirectional facilities, including check valves, regulators and pumps, mistakenly positioned backward in the simulation.
SynerGEE 4.1ג€™s facility service states feature enhances usersג€™ ability to conduct short-and long-term operational and planning scenarios. With facility service states, users can activate or deactivate individual or groups of pipes and other facilities when retiring abandoned pipelines or considering proposed subdivisions to determine the systemג€™s ability to meet demand.
SynerGEE 4.1 also introduces a new family of spatial tools to help identify issues with model facility connectivity and to protect simulation integrity and results. The tools allow users to quickly and automatically detect and correct unsplit pipes, crossing facilities, orphan facilities and nodes bottlenecks in a model.
ג€We are excited to make continued improvements to our flagship water modeling product,ג€said Tim Yost, Software Development Manager. ג€With the release of SynerGEE Water 4.1 and the Subsystem Management Module and Reliability Analysis module, we have once again proven that we are on the pulse of the needs of our clients.ג€
SynerGEEג€™s upgraded Subsystem Management Module (SMM) is a separately -licensed module designed to allow users to concentrate on specific areas of a model that need attention and avoid areas that do not. Using SMMג€™s enhanced extract and merge function, users can extract subsystems hydraulically or spatially and merge the sections into an existing model or together with other subsystems to create a
larger model. SMMג€™s skeletonize capability allows users to reduce a modelג€™s graphical or hydraulic detail and create a simplified model version for easy maintenance and increased productivity.
The Reliability Analysis module has been improved to help users maintain network performance by determining how a water distribution system will respond to pipe failure and measuring the resulting impact on the water supply. The separately-licensed module lets users simulate the importance of pipes in meeting system demand by removing a pipe (indicating failure) and solving the model. SynerGEEג€™s
Reliability Analysis significantly reduces the time required to determine the impact of pipe failures, report pipeג€™s strategic value to a system and ensure regulatory compliance.
Additional improvements to SynerGEE Water 4.1 include logical control scripting, real-time log window views and enhanced reporting and charting capability.
